Girard's Gate Destroyed

After the Order forces the Linear Guild to retreat from Girard's Pyramid they are free to delve into the heart of the pyramid and find Girard's Gate. Vaarsuvius is still separated from the party in an underground tunnel, tormented by Qarr and the weight of V's actions. The Order and the Guild both pass through Girard's still-functioning defenses of the gate chamber, but the Guild falls for the double bluff. When the Order learns that Xykon is again on the move, they make the decision to destroy the gate. Beneath the chamber, V attempts to stop them, knowing that their understand of the Gates and their function is flawed. But V is pulled down to the Abyss as the first of V's soul debts is called in by the IFCC. Team Evil arrives just in time to fulfill the Oracle's prophesy to Roy.
