D&D Context Edit

  • The hammer may be a Hammer of Thunderbolts, a powerful magic item which deals electrical damage and can be thrown to emit a stunning thunderclap. The item's full potential is only unlocked when combined with Gauntlets of Ogre Power and a Belt of Giant Strength. When all three items are combined, it is a +5 weapon and all of the bonuses of the other two items stack. Roy possesses a Belt of Giant Strength.
  • The gauntlets found with the hammer may be Gauntlets of Ogre power, granting a +2 enhancement bonus to strength.

Trivia Edit

  • The code to open the secret compartment under the statue of Thor spells "LoKi SuCKs".
  • This strip goes back to #1146 "Assistance Needed", where Thor told Durkon about a lost secret of the dwarves before his resurrection.
  • In Panel 2, Durkon mentioned that his old armor was wrecked. This was likely due to the duel between Roy and the High Priest of Hel back in #1009.
  • In Avengers: Infinity War, a dwarf gave Thor a new powerful weapon to replace his old one. Here, Thor is giving a dwarf the same deal.
