Half-elves are the offspring of an elf and a human. They have an extended life span over most races, though not to the same extent as true elves.
The appearance of half-elves varies. The two Half-elves in The Order of the Stick, Pompey and Carol, have different appearances; Pompey resembles an elf, except for the fact that only one of his ears is pointy, while Carol appears human at first glance, with no obvious elven traits, though she typically keeps her ears hidden under a bandana.
