Larry Gardener was a student at Warthog's School of Wizardry and Sorcery in Cliffport shown to Nale while he was looking for recruits for the Linear Guild.
As he talked about himself, he described how he is precocious to any Wizard better than him, and generally how the whole universe of events revolves around him and his past and at the same time parodying the basic flaws of the Harry Potter series. Nale understood that since he is a "protagonist" he wouldn't do for a team of "antagonists". As Larry understood they are bad guys, he attempted to cast "Stoppus Badguyus" before getting murdered by Thog.
Fortunately, he was considered annoying enough that Warthog showing Nale around did not mind and expressed that he had been wanting him dead for some time (claiming that he had been wanting to kill him for six books years).
Larry also made a cameo one-panel appearance in the 'Invaders From the Fourth Dimension' section of Snips, Snails, and Dragon Tales where he was accompanied by parodies of Ron and Hermione, the other main protagonists from the Harry Potter series.

- He is apparently a parody of Harry Potter. It is unknown why the Lawyers did not attempt to drag him off like they have done with other parody characters and trademarks. (Although according to Zz'ditri, parody is protected speech.)
