Roy: Hey, I dispute that characterization, Julia.

Roy: Every time I've fought him before, one of the two of us got killed. We just both came back.
Roy: I guess we're doing a best-of-three situation? I don't know.

Julia: And if he beats you again, then it's best-of-five?
Roy: Not this time. If this goes poorly…the world will be destroyed.

Roy: You know, the world? That you're standing on right now??
Julia: Well, I mean, that's not really going to happen, right? You'll stop it.

Roy: Yeah. Probably. I don't know.
Roy: I gotta be honest, it's not entirely up to me. We have to beat Xykon, sure, but there's also this goblin.
Roy: And if things don't work out exactly right, the gods themselves are going to…

Roy: Actually, never mind. I shouldn't be dumping this on you, you're just sixteen.
Julia: Seventeen.
Roy: Oh, right. I missed a year. Happy birthday.

Julia: And when it comes to dumping stuff on my, well, join the club.
Julia: Dad wasn't really thinking when he dumped this Blood Oath on us.
Julia: He didn't mean to, but…that doesn't really matter, does it? It doesn't change anything.

Julia: So I can't exactly leave it all up to you when it's my future on the line, can I?
Julia: I need to do what I can to help you, whether or not you want my help.
Roy: You are not getting involved. No.

Julia: What? No, uh, I wouldn't be able to…I just meant, I can give you advice and stuff. Like, tell you what I think you should do.
Roy: About fighting Xykon?

Julia: Why not? I'm a wizard, I'm smart and I read a lot.
Julia: And maybe I have a perspective you haven't totally considered. You could at least listen and find out.

Roy: I guess so, while we wait. If I'm at the point where I'm considering suggestions from Belkar, I might as well.
Julia: Great!

- Roy destroyed Xykon's body in #115, but failed to secure his phylactery (a magical object that holds the lich's soul), so he returned to undeath. Xykon killed Roy in #443, but he was resurrected by Durkon in #665.
- Roy missed Julia's 17th birthday due to being dead for much of the past year. Julia was still 16 the last time Roy saw her during her kidnapping at the hands of the Linear Guild.[1]
