Lee: More like, to speed up the timetable. The gods are already on the verge of doing it themselves.
Nero: However, if they do it, they will first harvest all of the world's souls.
Cedrik: We would prefer that the Snarl eradicate most of them instead.

Nale: But...you just said a minute ago that souls are a valuable commodity. Why throw them all away?
Lee: They are valuable precisely because the gods depend on them for sustenance.
Nero: For us, they are merely something to trade. A financial instrument, if you will.
Cedrik: I imagine the gods thought it prudent not to make their servants dependent on the same resources they themselves require.

Cedrik: After the mortal plane has been ravaged, we believe there will be a lean period for the gods before they can rebuilt it.
Nero: Decades, possibly centuries, when they will have no Belief, no Worship-and thanks to the Snarl, no huge burst of Dedication to fatten up on.
Lee: They will have nothing but the departed Souls they already have accumulated.

Nero: When the gods are at their weakest, we'll cut off their remaining supply-
Cedrik: -and then, we strike!

Nero: Naturally, the three of us will be perfectly positioned to absorb their quiddity as they die.
Cedrik: Becoming a new pantheon of unified Evil seems like a reasonable finder's fee!

Lee: Then we will support similar insurgencies among the modrons and the slaadi.
Nero: It will be a challenge to tailor our message to their unique sensibilities, but we have top fiends working on it already.
Modron: Logically, the gods cannot represent pure Law if they cooperate with Chaos.
Slaadi: You're right, it would be funny.
Cedrik: They will, of course, be unaware of how they are being corrupted to serve Evil.

Lee: By the time our "Outsider Revolution" reaches the Upper Planes, the deva will have no choice but to bow to it.
Nero: Well, they could die.
Cedrik: Yes, that would also be an acceptable option.

Cedrik: Not just a new world, but a whole new system of life and afterlife.
Lee: One that rewards mortals for the Evil behavior we want to see, and punishes them for doing Good.
