Don't Split the Party Edit
Therkla was employed by Daimyo Kubota as an assassin. When she first appeared, her target was Lord Hinjo. At this time, Elan had appointed himself Hinjo's bodyguard. Therkla developed a crush on Elan and several times she failed to kill Hinjo due to her not wanting to hurt Elan. She saved him from Qarr, and even helped him flank a sea-troll that was on her own team.
When Elan, Durkon, Daigo and Lien were trapped on Orc Island, she pretended to be Banjo, Elan's puppet/deity, to stop the orcs from killing Elan. Then she guided them through a Greg Initiative tunnel to safety.
She and Elan set up a secret meeting on a small island where she confessed her love and proposed that they see each other. Elan initially declined because of his ongoing (if out of communication) relationship with Haley, but he reconsidered his choice when she threatened him. Qarr overheard the exchange and hoped to prove to Kubota that the ninja had been subverted. However, Hinjo and company were also there, disguised by a spell from Vaarsuvius. The encounter erupted into a major battle when Qarr managed to summon a gargantuan pit fiend to battle the Azurites. Therkla fled back to the fleet with Elan, knowing that there were other targets on Kubota's list.
Therkla saved Daigo and Kazumi from death at the hands of Kubota, but was ultimately killed by the Daimyo when he poisoned her for turning against him. Elan tried to save her but she stated that she did not want to be raised, because she would take her chances: there is no punishment worse than not being with Elan. She died there and was buried on the island, with the petrified pit fiend serving as a monumental headstone.
- Therkla is one of the only half-orc or orc characters in the comic who speaks with proper grammar and capitalization with Bozzok.
Therkla was the protagonist of a black-and-white bonus webcomic made for Kickstarter backers. It was released in February 2015 and is named "Spoiler Alert". It tells the story of a short period of her life about a month before the invasion of Azure City.
