Serini is sitting on the ground as Haley ties her up with a rope.
Serini: Great, so after fifty years spent getting this right, I gotta watch you balloon-headed cloud-scrapers screw it all up.
Belkar: Heh heh. Cloud-scrapers.
Haley: Well gosh, there's still some amnesia juice in the carpet if you want to try and slurp it up.

Serini is now fully tied up, sitting on the floor.
Serini: Oh, drop it. The poison only wipes your short-term memory. We were both bluffing.
Haley: I wasn't I just figured I'd get our cleric to restore you if we needed it.

The panel zooms in on Haley.
Haley: Anyway, now that we're-

The color fades from the panel.
Haley: -done... with that.
- Panel 5
Haley turns around to see Elan climb through a hole in the wall, with Durkon, Roy and Sunny behind him. Sunny's central eye is open and sending out its anti-magic cone.
Elan: Hi, Haley!
Serini: Oh, for the love of muffins!

Haley: Elan?? How did you-?
Elan: Oh, Sunny says this one wall is made of magically conjured stone.
Sunny: It disappears when I look at it! That's how we get in and out most of the time with no door.

Haley: No, sweetie, I meant: How did you, you know, get Sunny to go along?
Elan: Oh, I asked if I could heal my friends while we waited, and then I asked if I could heal Franklin.
Haley: Who?
Elan: The piercer who dropped on you.

Elan turns around to face Durkon and Minrah, who are carrying an injured Franklin.
Elan: I know he kinda attacked you, but he seemed like he was really shaken up so I asked Sunny if I could help him, too.
Elan: Did you know it takes a piercer eight weeks to climb to the top of a room like that?
Minrah: I'm just, uh...I'm just gonna put him down over here.

The view changes to Sunny and Serini talking.
Sunny: Mom, Mom, listen: Elan and I talked, and it turns out they're not a danger to the Gate at all!
Sunny: They're on our side, and this is all a big misunderstanding! Isn't that great news?
Serini: Ugh, Sunny, why do you have to be so trusting?

Sunny: But...You raised me to be trusting.
Serini: I didn't expect you to trust me on it!
Serini: Do as I imply, not as I say or do!
